Antésite est une boisson concentrée 0 sucre, à base d’extraits naturels de réglisse et de plantes. Elle se présente sous forme de flacon de quelques centilitres et s’utilise en diluant quelques gouttes dans de l’eau pour obtenir une boisson rafraîchissante et désaltérante. Créée en 1898 en France, Antésite est appréciée pour son goût unique, sa composition naturelle, et sa teneur en calories nulle. Elle existe aujourd’hui en plusieurs parfums (menthe, citron, anis, etc.), tout en conservant sa recette d’origine à base de réglisse.

Depuis sa création en 1898, l'entreprise est restée fidèle à ses racines locales et à son savoir-faire artisanal. Son site de production, toujours basé à Voiron, fabrique les concentrés Antésite dans le respect de la tradition et avec une attention particulière portée à la qualité des ingrédients.

A perennial plant with soft, earthy rhizomes, liquorice (also called Sweet Pea or Tanner's Herb) thrives mainly in rich, moist soils in warm countries. Its roots are harvested manually, outside the rainy season, then left to dry in the sun of the growing regions. Sorted and packaged near the harvest sites and then transported by boat, the liquorice roots are then transported to our factory in Coublevie in Isère (38).
It will then take several days of work and patience for the little concentrate as you know it to see the light of day! After rigorous quality control, the liquorice roots are crushed and stored in huge macerators, where the raw material will gradually refine. We obtain a concentrated juice that will be decanted, filtered and flavored with essential oils, before being bottled directly on site. Each year to produce its ultra-concentrates, Antésite processes 300 tons of liquorice rhizomes, the equivalent in weight of around 70 elephants!

The presence of a small oily or white film on the surface, or a slight deposit at the bottom of the bottle, is linked to the plant constituents of the product and does not alter its taste or use in any way. Simply shake the bottle before using it!

The BBD (best before date) of our products is always indicated on the cap. If you can no longer read this information, or if the bottle has not been stored under normal conditions, we ask you not to consume the product.

Our ultra-concentrated liquorice products should be stored in a cupboard, in their original packaging, away from light and heat, because liquorice is naturally bactericidal. Storing them in the fridge would not pose any danger, strictly speaking, but would simply risk crystallizing the essential oils used in the composition of Antésite licorice.
Our fruit, tea or hibiscus concentrates must be kept in the refrigerator after opening, in the original packaging.

Antésite offers two types of preparations to dilute. Of course, there are its iconic ultra-concentrates based on liquorice; they are called ultra-concentrates because about 15 drops are enough to flavor a 20 cl glass. You can therefore flavor up to 220 glasses of drink with a single 13 cl bottle of our ultra-concentrates Antésite Réglisse!
Our Hibiscus and Tea concentrates, on the other hand, have different compositions and are by nature less concentrated than their big sister liquorice – but much more so than traditional syrups. You need one teaspoon of BIO Tea or Hibiscus concentrate to flavour a glass of water; it is therefore possible to obtain 32 flavoured glasses with a single 13 cl bottle.

The products in the Antésite ultra-concentrated range contain glycyrrhizin at a rate of 3 g per 13 cl bottle, each bottle being able to flavour up to 200 20 cl glasses (i.e. 15 mg/glass). In Europe, the maximum admissible daily dose of this active ingredient has been set at 100 mg/day by the Scientific Committee on Food. This is therefore well beyond what is contained in a glass of Antésite!
Although its virtues are numerous, it is important to note that licorice, in all its forms, should be consumed in moderation (less than 7 glasses per day) and that it is not recommended for people suffering from high blood pressure, kidney failure, hypertonia, potassium deficiency, liver cirrhosis or hepatic cholestasis. Similarly, consuming drinks that are too rich in sugar, whether or not they contain caffeine, can cause high blood pressure and/or promote weight gain.
In order to meet all thirsts and needs and to vary the pleasures, we have created organic concentrates based on hibiscus or tea, without liquorice, without added sugars or sweeteners, and low in calories. Discover now on our online store 🙂

Antésite ultra-concentrates based on liquorice get their naturally sweet taste from the root of this plant, whose sweetening power is 50 times greater than cane sugar. No other sugar is added in the recipe of our ultra-concentrates!
Antésite concentrates based on fruits, tea and hibiscus, are naturally sweetened by the sugar of the organic fruits used in their composition. You can find all the nutritional information on each of our product sheets, in the online store area.

First of all, we would like to congratulate you 🙂 ! Antésite concentrates are made from plant macerations, natural aromas and, in the case of our ultra-concentrates based on liquorice, essential oils.
There is no precise consensus but as a precaution, it is advisable not to use essential oils orally during the entire pregnancy. You can therefore quench your thirst with our hibiscus concentrates, tea (which do not contain any) or even fruit… and wait patiently for the baby to arrive to quench your thirst again with our ultra-concentrated liquorice!

Antésite concentrates are made from plant macerations, plant extracts and essential oils, particularly grapefruit in some of our recipes, the full details of which can be found in each product sheet, on our online store.
People undergoing specific treatments (antibiotics, anticancer drugs, heart treatments or even schizophrenia treatments, etc.) should generally avoid consuming grapefruit-based foods or drinks, which could make their treatment less effective.

✅ Faux : Antésite est une boisson naturelle sans sucre, fabriquée en France depuis plus d’un siècle. Comme toute boisson à base de réglisse, elle doit simplement être consommée avec modération, surtout par les personnes sensibles (hypertension, femmes enceintes, enfants).
Ce n’est pas un poison.
Donc Non, l’Antésite n’est pas dangereuse pour la santé lorsqu’elle est consommée dans des conditions normales et en respectant les dosages recommandés par l’ANSES.
Il est toutefois important de noter que la réglisse, sous toutes ses formes, reste à consommer avec modération (moins de 7 verres par jours) et qu’elle est déconseillée aux personnes souffrant d’hypertension artérielle, insuffisance rénale, hypertonie, insuffisance en potassium, cirrhose du foie ou cholestase hépatique. De la même façon, consommer des boissons trop riches en sucres, contenant ou non de la caféine, peut provoquer de l’hypertension et/ou favoriser la prise de poids.
✅ Ce qu’il faut savoir :

• Elle est sans sucre, sans édulcorants artificiels, et naturelle, ce qui en fait une alternative saine aux boissons sucrées.
• Elle est nul en apport calorique, donc adaptée à ceux qui surveillent leur ligne ou leur glycémie.
• Le principal ingrédient est la réglisse, une plante connue pour ses propriétés digestives.

⚠️ Précautions à connaître :

• La réglisse, consommée en excès, peut entraîner une élévation de la tension artérielle, une baisse de potassium dans le sang, ou des troubles cardiovasculaires — surtout chez :
  - Les personnes souffrant d'hypertension ou de maladies cardiaques,
  - Les femmes enceintes.
  
  En résumé :
  Antésite est sans danger pour la santé si elle est consommée modérément, comme indiqué.
  En cas de doute ou de condition médicale particulière, demandez conseil à votre médecin.

✅ Faux : La réglisse est une plante utilisée depuis l’Antiquité pour ses bienfaits digestifs. Elle est autorisée dans l’alimentation. Seule une consommation excessive et régulière (en très grandes quantités) peut avoir des effets indésirables.
En résumé :
✅ Un peu de réglisse de temps en temps = OK.
⚠️ Trop souvent ou en grandes quantités = risques pour la santé.

✅ Faux : Si elle a une image traditionnelle, Antésite séduit aujourd’hui un public très large : sportifs, personnes soucieuses de leur santé, jeunes actifs, familles. Elle existe en plusieurs parfums modernes (menthe, citron, anis, etc.) et s’adapte à tous les modes de vie.
Antésite existe depuis 1898, donc beaucoup de gens l’associent à leurs grands-parents. Effectivement, son utilisation à l’ancienne : quelques gouttes dans un verre d’eau, et surtout sans sucre ajouté… n’est pas la « norme » comparé aux boissons modernes : sodas sucrés et à l’aspartame.
EN REALITE : Antésite propose aujourd’hui d'autres saveurs que la réglisse et a ainsi diversifier son offre avec des concentrés. C’est sans sucre, sans alcool, sans édulcorant, donc plutôt adapté à ceux qui veulent une boisson saine. Elle peut plaire à toute personne qui cherche à boire plus d’eau aromatisée sans calorie, quel que soit l’âge !

✅ Faux (ou du moins subjectif) : Antésite est un concentré à diluer. C’est vous qui dosez selon votre goût ! Quelques gouttes suffisent. Bien dosée, elle est douce, rafraîchissante et agréable !

✅ Faux : L’Antésite classique ne contient ni sucre, ni édulcorant artificiel. C’est justement la réglisse qui est son édulcorant naturel. Elle est d’ailleurs 50 fois supérieur au saccharose en termes de pouvoir sucrant. Elle est ainsi adaptée aux personnes diabétiques ou à celles qui veulent limiter leur consommation de sucre.
