The birth of an iconic product

Noël Perrot-Berton, a pharmacist in the hospitals of Lyon, developed the formula for the liquorice concentrate named ANTESITE. It was his expertise in the field of plants that enabled him to develop the flagship product in the town of Voiron (Isère), flavoured with natural extract of anise. This genius aspired to quenching the thirst of men without destroying their health. His recipe has remained unchanged for more than a century.
Benefiting from the virtues of liquorice and plants, ANTESITE contained no alcohol, sugar or sweeteners. As a concentrate, it was also an economic drink that everyone could afford and became a collective model in hospitals, holiday camps, steel companies, mines and ordinary homes.
ANTESITE became a collective legacy.
“The best way to drink water” was born!
